Are looking and seeing the same? Can we see without looking, or fail to perceive while observing?

Looking at someone doesn’t guarantee seeing. The qualities of others often reflect on us instead. Two woodcut silhouettes mirror their identities onto one another. The bodies interact through projection and mirroring symbology. Sensors pick up the movement of anyone who stands between them causing a shift in perspective. A physical symbol of the act of seeing and its relationship to inner knowing.
